FourWishesGenie: of course theres supporters, theres people that benefit form the president, mainly the families of the criminals that work for him. And they pay people aswell, its no secret they go to places where children that lsot their parents live and get the children to cheer for the president.

And yes our media shows it, so fail

nellie77: what are you so Raw about Samira? what is your problem seriously? do you live here and actaually see whats happening? or are you just one eyed ?

And my family are not criminals, they support their president because he has done great things for their country and he is striving to do his best..
Unlike other leaders that kiss the ass of others....

akcharmy: civil war? u seem so sure, dave.don't watch TV a lot
and don't say things like u're so sure, coz in the end u'll find how much misguided u were..

and about sharing information, whenever my country invites international channels to witness the fights against the terrorists under the army protection "for example,in Jisr Al-Shughur",most of those channels refused to join,so no wonder u won't know the truth...did u know that more than 130 security officers were killed in one day??

FourWishesGenie:
Just because we are against the dictators, DOESNT mean we are PRO criminals or pro fundamentalists or whoever else wants a fair share of their cake.

It's not all black and white.
Fundamentalists being wrong, doesnt make Assad automatically right.

We are PRO freedom and justice foe the people who want a better life..and life is not just about money and a good job but freedom of expression and freedom of speech.

If Assad was such a great president, he'd let the people march in the streets and speak up against him.

The United Nations label the "arab world" as one of the less "progressed" parts in the world when it comes to education, politics, literature, human rights and social matters.

Why do u think this is? Cause ur rulers are doing such a great job? Dream on..

XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: I will simplify the situation here ,,, those who are in the streets protesting against him ,, arent actually looking for freedom or anything ,, they are a punch of radical muslims who are rebeling against the president cause he if from a different muslim division ,,,,, thats the whole story .

nellie77: Ok so now we agree the people in the streets are radical extremists , and i see that these radicals are the ones that causing these problems here, there is a war going on because you have these crazy people that are shooting the army and are causing a stir amongst the peaceful protestors...

I have been lucky enough to walk the streets and march without no problem, how come i hav'ne been shot yet? Or wait! is it because you crazy extremist radical moslems that detest the president beacuse he isnt like you are too scared to come here???

Come on!!! wake up the president is stayin he is much stronger than you radicals and he WILL not tolerate you shooting down his army of innocence that are trying to protect their people...

And you use the word Democracy and freedom like there isn't any here, hahahaha thats funny u make it sound like the people are starved of speech.... Thats just really funny the people here just won't stop screaming and crying how much they love him!!!!!!

WhiteCloud2: it is the americans, the british and israelies..again.. with the down fall of america they r trying to hold to power they instigated the trouble in Syria.. basically backing extremist muslim groups. This is what defines Syria and why :

• Sustained a system for governance where all r equal (no racial or religious discrimination)
• Kept a distance from the failed western economic and political model.
• Maintained moderate Arabic and muslim heritage and respect to Arab culture
• Stable economy with zero debt. (show me a country that has that)
• Respectable regional and international stand with human right
• Maintained, with little means, regional influence.
• Supported with deeds the return of Palestine from the americam and european occupation.
• Supported with deeds the liberation of arab lands from the american and European occupation (Egypts (military) , Iraq, saudi arabia , yamen all gulf countries Algeria)

Assad is a dictator “of the worst kind” but one that did well to his people. Western democracy elects a dictator for 4 to 8 years. But media and banking really do the election and people r just slaves for those two powers..its a failing corrupt system.

The western system is based on unlimited expectation for the individual ..this worked when natural resources were more than the need. There r too many people on earth and little resources .. i think we need to go back and have lower expectations, think for ourselves not let the media think for us, examine the old ways that worked and live in harmony with nature.

With the collapse of wall street, i.e. america we need to go back to common sense we must work for what we get and defend own resources.

It is so refreshing to see how working americans r wanting there country back from the wall street evil ..demonstration all over america (American winter)

Lora123: Bashar al-Assad was elected in 2000 and 2007, but was unopposed each time. Come on folks... those aren't elections, they're coronations. The Majlis Al Sha'ab even lowered the minimum age for a president from 40 to 34 when Hafez al-Assad died, just so the 34-year-old Bashar could take over.

This isn't politics as the rest of the world recognizes it, this is a dictatorship. It's a dictatorship he inherited from his father. Don't get me wrong... there's nothing wrong with living under a dictator, if that's the way you are happy. But don't try to pretend that this is democracy, because it isn't.

this media war is to ruin his image .
besides Bashar Al Assad is an honest man which is a first among politicians ...when he says something he does it
and when he says Syria is heading for democracy he means it .....
next elections he will run against whoever and im sure most of the ppl would vote for him as I will .... this wednesday there is going to be supporting protest ,,,, try to look at the images on the internet and see the millions who support him

XxDaddyDemonTakerxX: @ WhiteCloud ,, Bashar AlAssad is the only Arabian leader to support resistances in the Arabic world and im not talking about terrorists here ,,, im talking about real resistances
he had so many offers to drop the resistance policy and accepts peace terms of Israelis and he would be the favorite man for the West and they would do anything he wants .... life long presidentship ,, whatever he wants ,.... he refused of course and here are the consequences of his decision ... I bet u ,,,,, if just now Bashar AlAssad pronounce that he is willing to accept the Israelis terms of peace and would sign a peace treaty with them and cut off the support for the resistances ,,,, I bet u the whole western attitude will change and he will become a sample for democracy and other leaders should follow his path ...
