xxheartsxx: What it your view on Weed and legalizing it? I personally think it would help more to legalize it than continue arresting those violating it.
(I hope this topic doesn't break the rules, not trying to promote it, just the law)
'THE REAL THING'
..."the government makes alot of revenue not legalizing the such in any country...some argue it is the doorway to other drugs - be it narcotics etcetera...eye believe the pharmacuetical companies are the biggest legal drug lords and in most cases more harmful to societies as like taxed alcohol et al"...

Kaiya_: Weed should at the very least be "decriminalized" not the same as "leagalized". often people with weed are sent to jail for many years. This unacceptable! While im at it, mandatory sentences is BS. Yah legalize it sure, i dont smoke it but i dont like the gov shipping it in then put you in prison over it and farm us.
chronology: Zero Tolerance. It is a dirty filthy habit. American Teens deserve to be protected from this drug. If the threat of Prison keeps them from using the drug, then so much the better. many youngsters will hate us for this strict decision, but when they are older they may appreciate that spending what adds up to years in a state of drunken stupor is a waist and loss to their lives.
Hash_pipe: I hate when people use the term "drug" marijuana is a weed, it grows naturally on this earth!
alcohol on the other hand is legal. it kills & damages your body far worse than Marijuana ever will.
It would help the economy tremendously! if they legalized it & taxed it.
some people need to stop overreacting. there are actual drugs that hurt and kill people & your worried about a bunch of stoners. get real.
the real slim DEEPy: if marajuana was decriminalized, the mexican cartels would lose 90% of their profits, reducing the political corruption and lawlesness in mexico, and mexicans would be able to create jobs int heir OWN country, instead of illegally seeking work north of the border. it would also save over 16 million yearly in the american prison system. marajuana is safer than tobacco, it is hardly a drug
★Ṯᾆḿṁẙ★ヅ: marijuana will never be legalized for one reason, the taxes on it would be very high. Another reason they will never legalize it is because they know that people would still grow it on their own. As much as i wish that it would be legalized, it will never happen =(
FalconCawFalcon: "I hate when people use the term "drug" marijuana is a weed, it grows naturally on this earth! "
Shrooms are natural too you idiot, yet that's a drug cause it fucks with your head. Look up the term drug, learn something, then come back in here and try to offer an opinion. Maybe then it'll be more valid.
FalconCawFalcon: "often people with weed are sent to jail for many years. This unacceptable!"
So is fucking up your life, but hey, shit happens, right? Personally I'd laugh my ass off if I ever heard of someone getting a life sentence for smoking dope. People just don't learn though.
Sarcastic Dots: I don't smoke it myself, however I'm all for legalising it.
That is... I'm all for legalising is as long as tobacco, beer and caffeinated products are legal. It is rather abstruse that some people deem weed as a harmful substance, but gleefully protect their right to drink.

metheo28: It all comes down to use and abuse. Whether weed is legalized or not, the issue will always be over use not the legalization.
B0B: the key to stopping kids from smoking marijuana is the same for keeping them from doing anything else they shouldn't do, education and parents who openly communicate with their children. decriminalize marijuana because it's use goes far beyond taking it to get high.
V_trey0: The world would be a better place if everybody can jus enjoy a yoke or two. Or three. Cali grown one love!!!
Hash_pipe: people would understand, if they only knew what they were talking about.
these fucking politicians, they talk shit about marijuana cuz they dont know. their scared of it. so they make it illeage.
Red Azura: Legalize it and tax it. I have never heard of anyone overdosing off of smoking marijuana. The government drugs that are prescribed to SO many Americans is what they should get rid of. Oxycontin is a government drug and it is said to be one of the WORST drugs to get hooked to & especially to get off of! My mother has had to take 20+ government pills on a daily basis for as long as I can remember, she would rather smoke marijuana on a daily basis rather than take those pills. The side effects from pills don't even compare to marijuana. They want to use marijuana for medical use, obviously it serves a purpose. What about all of the AMERICAN people who cannot afford medical insurance to receive this "medical marijuana", they should just suffer?! Fortunately, there are many places for people to get a 20 bag. That's just my opinion & everyone is entitled to their own.
Comrade_: The majority of those who lights a cigarette knows the dangers it will have on their lungs, yet they do it. No "education" or videos on black lungs will stop anything.
Can I ask a question to marijuana-smokers:
If you are a healthy young person then why do you smoke weed? Do you need it?
the real slim DEEPy: freedom of choice is a part of the us, thus, the us should not create laws to protect people from themselves. young people should not smoke weed, not students, not those prone to psychoses or underachievers. but, for normal people, it can help relax, help with medical issues, and help with anxiety, especially social anxiety. weed is also much less dangerous than tobacco, which is legal for the 18+ age group. kids should not smoke pot, period, but adults should have the right to choose. it is a great alternative to the legal choice of consuming alcohol. educating wont stop everything, but it will allow personal responsibility to play its part.
