We have heard there might be a land invasion tomorrow.

This is the third war in five years. The difference this time is that Israel has no purpose or objective that we can see. All they are doing is killing civilians and targeting homes. In the first war they clearly attacked militants. In the second war they targeted weapons arsenal.

The Western media is portraying this as payback for the deaths of those three Israeli students but no-one on the Palestinian side has claimed responsibility for it. Usually someone does admit responsibility and they are very keen to do so. We don't even know what really happened, yet this feels like collective punishment.

I've heard from the resistance teams here that Israel and Gaza intend to crush each other, even though we are the weaker side.
Living here is terrible. We are under siege. We can't import anything. We only have electricity for eight hours a day, that means you can't build anything. I am a civil engineer by trade but there are no construction materials. Manufacturing has been destroyed. Agriculture is massively diminished. We can't survive like this.

We are depressed. It's the first time that I feel like life isn't worth living.

We have to be allowed to live with dignity. The World needs to do something to help us. The peace process is very difficult and it has been going on for 20 years without resolution. There must be something in between. If the West wants to, it can organise something.

I am against the Israeli government, not the Israeli people but unfortunately the people are getting more extreme too in their views. It is the people who vote in the government. I think the Israelis are tired of this situation too and want a normal life but if they really, really, wanted to they could put pressure on their government to make peace but that is not happening.

This is the era when men (if they can be called that) look for justification for their wrong actions. When that action includes killing women and children, destroying homes, invading homes, arresting 500+ people unlawfully who are not of their country, burn kids, and tries to hold a banner of peace while building on land that is not theirs. I wonder which person in their right mind will not feel frustrated if the actions that Israel undertake on Palestine were happening to them.

The Israeli's left Gaza in 2005 to promote peace just as they did when Israel released hundreds of convicted murders recently. And this is how the terrorist repay the releases to promote the peace talks..with rockets.

What is being done to the Palestinians is unjust. The occupation and oppression, the stealing of land (that is all the people have), the bombings and spying on allies. Wrongful arrests and deaths going unanswered. Everyone should turn a blind eye to that for what reason? Israel should avoid being questioned and providing explanations with evidence? -and by this I don't mean blanket statements that the world should suckup. Why? No wonder the Palestinians are frustrated and no wonder the world is growing tired.

It is also clear that you thought you would've had a different response from me and your retort would've been "I didn't change it" or "I fixed the grammar". The reason Israel is bombing the crap out of Gaza is because....ding ding ding....Hamas fired rockets into Israel. So, being the good person you are....condemn the rocket fire that is specifically being fired from Gaza into heavily populated Israeli cities.

Please condemn Hamas for the rocket fire.

And, as you know, Hamas has joined up with the Palestinian Authority. You should also condemn the current Palestinian leadership for being a terrorist organization. Since you do not support Hamas, a condemnation from you is also warranted.

And regarding editing...it is there for a reason. If I want to correct something I have written especially on this thread I created over three years and 2342 responses ago I will do so. I will also note that I could delete your ass from this discussion, but I believe in free speech as well.

The reality is that I have been on this site for years and have had dozens of threads and have commented on dozens of others. I have been consistent with my beliefs and ideals.

I believe Israel has the right to exist.

Without putting words in your mouth, I believe you do not agree that Israel has the right to exist nor has the right to protect itself.

So, let's discuss this as rational human beings....if you can of course.

Let's agree that Israel has the right to exist and that the Palestinian people also have the right to exist. Let's agree on that to start. Can you agree on that?
