'The World Has Divided Into Rich And Poor As At No Time In History' (Page 4)
PureSilver67: Well except for that last strangely non-fit post by smar12009 .... that was a very interesting read
PureSilver67: @ chronology just an fyi .. I tend not to input on topics that I am not well informed on ... thus, it was very interesting, but I do not feel that I can contribute any significant information on the topic.
oneoftheyeshua: only one thing and only one thing is for sure it is only going to get unbearably worse to the point where jesus has to come back and say enough is enough amen
chronology: Nicorrette. In the Western world obesity is a sign of poverty. I know this sounds a contradiction but when you think about it it is obvious. Rich folks eat healthy nutritious diets, poor folks eat high calorie low nutrition foods. Most obese Americans and English people are actually malnourished in that their daily vitamin and mineral intake is way below what a normal human being needs to stay healthy.
the real slim DEEPy: an income or wealth cap would stifle production. if you cant have more, then why work more? if your income is guaranteed, why work, at all. the hallmark of liberalism, china, pollutes their ground and water, and exploits their empoverished labourers. only 1/2 of chineese households even have televisions. and dont forget the ussr's cherinobyl, which caued the entire country of belarous to be evacualted and led to 900,000 deaths. marxism is surely not the answer to the worlds woes.
africa is fed mostly by us surplus grain. seems to me that america is doing most things right, if we can feed a starving africa. africas problem, like chinas, is corrupt leaders. wealth inequality is not necesarrily a bad thing, if there is charity and investment among the wealth- the tax code encourages charity. investment creates jobs for the poor labourer, and charity helps the down-and-out. better to have a small slice of the pie than to have none, and even the welfare recipient recieves a small slice of pie.
genius is self-bestowed, and mediocrity, self-inflicted.
impoverished countries need to stand up to their currupt governments and demand reform or revolution. america is hardly one of these, for even the unemployed gets decent goverment housing and other forms of government assistance.
a level playing field necessitates more losers than winners.
i am hardly condoning the corporate bail-outs; however, they wre loans, and not free money. furthermore, i feel that the corporation is a violation of free-market, as they are legislitively created.

Nicorrette: yea yea,I dont agree chronology,I know it better than u,as I see on me body responding to daily life, people obese arent necessarly poor but I know for sure they arent rich...I m sure ofmy intuition.
the real slim DEEPy: people on or have been on food stamps are much more likely to be obese. i think its more about making poor choices.
chronology: 'yea yea' well that is the answer to world population obecity nicorette, you see how your body responds to daily life. As you have the answer, why not call the U.N. and save all the money on studies.
lavendar_star: This is one of the reason why because some rich people are tight and greedy.
George Osborne was left 'shocked' after an analysis of the tax returns of multi-millionaires which he personally ordered found that they are exploiting loopholes to pay little or nothing at all.
A confidential study by HM Revenue and customs found they are using aggressive avoidance schemes to reduce their income tax rate to an average of 10 per cent - less than half the level paid by the average Briton.
The Chancellor personally studied the “anonymised” copies of the tax returns submitted by some of the country’s wealthiest citizens which showed some people are able to avoid paying income tax entirely.
The analysis convinced Mr Osborne that millionaires must pay a minimum rate of tax equivalent to about a third of their earnings, which has been described as a “tycoon tax”.
Mr Osborne told The Daily Telegraph: “I was shocked to see that some of the very wealthiest people in the country have organised their tax affairs, and to be fair it’s within the tax laws, so that they were regularly paying virtually no income tax. And I don’t think that’s right.
“I’m talking about people right at the top. I’m talking about people with incomes of many millions of pounds a year. The general principle is that people should pay income tax and that includes people with the highest incomes.
“I’m not allowed to be shown the names of the individuals but I’ve sat with the most senior people at the Inland Revenue, the people who run some of the high net worth units there. They have given me examples, anonymised examples, and so we are taking action.”
The report found that Britain’s 20 biggest tax avoiders have used three main loopholes to legally reduce their their income tax bills by a total of £145 million in a year.
Two thirds of them wrote off business losses in one of their companies against their income tax bill, reducing it by as much as half .
Several of them offset the cost of business mortgages or borrowing on buy-to-let properties against their income tax bill, while others took advantage of relief on donations to charity.
The reason this politicians didnt know that because he is one of the rich posh upper class types and as a typical conservative looks after their rich friends and screw everybody else. what a idiot.
