Lifes to short to entertain drunken musings.

Dont worry Billy he is probalbly just getting confused in his drunken haze with the taxi car he uses all the time and some taxi boat he spotted on the harbour while attending his AA clinic.

Tea bag soup burger, have you contacted the Website that I took the McDonalds information off.

LiptonCambell: I don't see why I should have to.

In order to get simple answers on a belief that you apparently endorse, I must join an entirely different forum? Why? Haven't you asked these very basic questions? And why is it my responsiblity to defend your statements and your beliefs from critiism?

I'm not afraid of answers- thats why I asked questions. I just assumed you would know what you're talking about before encouraging a protest. Maybe I was reaching too far.

Outbackjack: I have received an email from McSpotlight.
It is basically a generic email they send out.
It says all its information is on its website.
I have to say I am personally disappointed.
They reckon they only have a certain amount of volunteers to respond to the mountain of emails.

So there you go.
Sit down and have a cup of tea and read it,you could always chew on a cheeseburger whilst you are at it.

Let me give you are very basic lesson Mr I am a labourer with a university degree.
I reposted an article that is doing the rounds on the internet.I put the source of my information at the bottom(meaning I didnt write it).You are the one who has a "beef"(yes its not buffalo meat in Big Macs anymore in Australia) with it so why dont you have a good look at it( I bet your marketing department already has numerous times).

I took the time to make an effort on this ( I dont know why I bothered)now its up to you.

LiptonCambell: lmao!

I don't have a university degree! I finished High School through Adult Ed. You sure are doing alot of reading from a picture of me at a wedding, and for all the attempts you are making to build a straw man of me, you could be actually understanding your positon, so you could better argue it and address some very basic questions about a belief you felt was important for us all to share.

>>>I reposted an article that is doing the rounds on the internet.I put the source of my information at the bottom(meaning I didnt write it)

So you don't know if these people are speaking the truth, or blowing smoke up your ass-hell, you don't care- you don't take any responsiblity for what you post- simply because you couldn't be bothered to ask some very basic questions about what you are preaching, which you are now trying to shift onto other people rather than understanding your own position.

>>>I took the time to make an effort on this ( I dont know why I bothered)

And that exemplifies my point. You made the slightest of efforts("where do they get 40 billion sales?" )- you emailed them- they gave you a robotic response- and with that, you throw your hands up in the air, and claim its not important enough to find out if you're being lied to- understanding your beliefs is not what is important- whats important is denouncing those who dare not agree.

It definetely said he had a University degree.
Now he denies it.
And you have the gall to talk about lies ???

I guess any idea of credibility in what this bloke(who knows if its even a bloke, the hamburglar could have stolen someone elses identity)says goes right out of the arched window when he is so blatantly dishonest.

I honestly have nothing to hide from you guys, and stats about my life have nothing to do about the topic- if you have spent half the time researching the information about McDonalds you have in attempting to maniplulate me and assault my character, you would be quite knowledgable by now. And yet, you haven't. Once again, I guess it shows your priorities- you'd rather flame than commit to a rational argument.

LiptonCambell: Again, if you've forgotten the questions I've brought up while you're doing your endless character assaults;

>>>McDonald's spend over $2 billion every year worldwide on advertising and promotions, trying to cultivate an image of being a 'caring' and 'green' company that is also a fun place to eat.

Whats wrong with that? Spending money to promote the good actions they do, to counter the petty arguments that have presented themselves that they are somehow evil.

How much value do you place in intent? Would you rather they do no good if the good they do was on the intent of improving their image? How much of your own personal comforts would you be willing to sacrafice to make such a thing happen? After all, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, according to wikipedia, has built 271 Ronald McDonald Houses operating in 30 countried- being a home for children to stay at while they are at a nearby hospital. Through this, they help a reportedly 4 million children every year, with McDonalds Corp paying for adminstrative costs, allowing donations to reach those who need it. They also offer Scolarships, giving teenagers opportunities they may not have had otherwise.

And you claim that McDonalds is somehow rotten because they wish to promote the good that they do? That it doesn't matter if they help children- rather, their intent is more important, and if they do not act with intent that you personally agree with, that they and their charities be dismantled.

I know it really sounds like I'm working for McDonalds( ) , but I'm not- I just took the effort to look at the website for their charity, before whining that they don't deserve credit for doing good.

http://rmhc.org/

So, again, we're arguing ~~Intent~~

>>>Children are lured in - dragging their parents behind them - with the promise of toys and other gimmicks.

Where does personal responibility come into play? Aren't parents responsible for the choices they make for their children? Aren't you passing the buck to say that its the business's fault for offering a product that children want, when its the parents role to raise their children, not McDonalds?

So, again, we're arguing ~~Personal Responiblity~~

>>>McDonald's only interest is money, making profits from whoever and whatever they can, just like all multinationals. The company's sales are now $40 billion a year.

Aside from apparently made up numbers, why is it bad again for a business to be interested in profitting? McDonalds has over 400,000 employees- do you work for free? Why should you expect others? And do you think a single person in that company is interested in working there for anything else than money? Why is working in self-interest such a sin? Don't you work for your own self interest? And isn't their business based on a voluntary model- if people didn't want McDonalds, they don't have to take their business there- Are you to challenge these peoples right to economic independance and freedom?

So, again, we are arguing ~~Self-Interest~~

>>>The continual worldwide expansion of fast food chains means more uniformity, less choice and the undermining of local communities...

How is demanding there be less stores somehow create more diversity? And, again, aren't these stores based on economic independence and freedom? If people wanted to eat Thai, they can find a place to eat Thai. If there is a great demand for Thai in an area- excellent- a business then would do well there, and I'd recommend you building one before someone else does.

But this isn't about demand- this is about you dictating demand, and dictating diversity, even if the consumer doesn't want it. If you were to close down McDonalds, another Burger shop would take its place so long as the McDonalds was fiscally successful.

So, again, we are arguing ~~Diversity~~

Address some of these points, and I'll commit to further discussion

Outbackjack: You are an outright liar Lipton.

You did change the information on your home page.

I was not the only person who seen it.

Pathetic.

I see you havent tackled anything on the McSpotlight website.

"Aside from apparently made up numbers, why is it bad again for a business to be interested in profitting? McDonalds has over 400,000 employees- do you work for free?"

According to a certain alcoholic from Sydney I am a dole bludger,so that means I must not work.

LiptonCambell: Lmao- you are mistaken sir- I haven't changed my education status at all since I joined this site- in fact, I'm quite certain I've never stepped foot on a University campus in my life- although, again, your interest in my education is alarming. What does this have to do with the issue at hand? Why do you veiw it as a megative if I did go to college or university? I'd have thought me describing how I barely slipped through High School would be taken negatively- and yet, the mere assumption that I have received post-secondary education seems to create contempt towards me- the concept that I am more learned than I appear to be means my arguments have less merit in your eyes.

Why? Do you worship ignorance? Is education something to be ashamed of? And, again, what does me, my personality, or my education, have anything to do with McDonalds? You don't honestly believe I am a agent here to silence you- do you? Do you know how paranoid such an idea is?

And, again, I've asked you- the person who endorsed and encouraged people to support a boycott and protest- questions about the vaildity of such a belief- and again, you've deflected it- you are okay with telling people what to do, but not okay with actually understanding what you're dictating. I'm wrong, but you don't know why I'm wrong or you're right- you simply are told so, and refuse any debate

Then you change it and continue to deny it.
