Dreams (Page 3) Serabi: Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which people, either when falling asleep or wakening, temporarily experience a sense of inability to move. More formally, it is a transition state between wakefulness and rest characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It can occur at sleep onset, deep sleep or when awakening. When you receive anaesthetic, you get a dose of Dopamine to prevent muscle contractions while sleeping. Often, when dogs and puppies 'run' in their sleep, it is a shortage of Dopamine in their system. Dreams are just weird but I don't believe in the hundreds of books trying to analyze various dreams. What I find fascinating is - what do unborn and newborn babies dream about? lori100: life is but a dream-------the aborigines refer to our awake life as dreamtime, the dream life is the real life, when we are 'awake' we are not fully conscious, we use only a small percentage of our brain, most people sleep walk through life , not really understanding or paying strong attention to much detail, not making any effort to expand their consciousness, people who have traveled out of body are well aware of the illusion of the physical dimension and are not able to immerse themselves in that dream life as they did before.... mr1benjamim: Once i got stuck in a dream were i was trying to wake up... but never really got up from the bed, its dangerous Nathaniel Nirvana: I've had dreams that have come about in the waking world. I think that the future is fluid and our minds are capable of predicting outcomes from present circumstances....like if this path is continued then the most likely scenerio is__; also I believe our higher selfs/astral/whatever we want to call it can travel into the akashic records where the universal past is recorded & the future sketched out Mostly I believe dreams are just churning around day to day rubbish & impressions the subconcious is working through; but they can also be a communication from your sleeping mind to your awake mind......have heard of quite a few ppl who have mentioned 'coincidental' dreams they've had before illnesses, for example......the subconscious mind knows things that are happening in the body before we are consciously aware | Philosophy Chat Room 4 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
