Kids & child welfare

I am Janne from Finland and I work in child welfare. I would like to meet people around the world who do the same thing or if you are just interested about this job or want to ask, that is ok too. Last place I have worked is a place where kids are brought to when things go all to hell in a family (alcohol, drugs, mental problems, domestic violence, abuse of all kind etc.)

Job is hard and sometimes you think that whatta hell am I doing, but usually at that time, some little kid or little baby comes and smiles to you and you live with that for a week

I love my job, I love kids and kids love me. I am in my dream job.

spankdmonkey: Hi Trawller happy for you if you love kids and your job .Dont know about child welfare in finland but what i have read in a lot of these countries plus here in Australia is the child welfare system has a lot to answer for ,

the number of mistakes they make.

for the lies and cover ups and perjury they commit .Yeh that may sound harsh but it is a fact here in Australia .Not saying they are all like that or even half but a fairly big percentage ..And im sure there is ones that do a really great job ,but overall for a system that should be impecable for what they do they sure get it wrong a lot
