ashley9333: well im 24 years old and i have 4 wonderful kids. i love them and i do everything i can for them. u can judge me how ever. but i take care of mine without help from food stamps and all that. i do agree that it will change ur life in so many diff ways but all mine were great. i do think b4 a teen does think about having a baby they need to look at everything its not that easy and most of the stuff u see on tv is not true. a baby does not cry all the dang on time. it does not poo all the time they cut out most of the happy moments on t.v to make yall think twice about it.

tylaaa: I agree with u Ashley...When u have a child, I never wanna change it for the world, but honestly try to avoid having a kid as a teen or atleast until u can support them. Thats very strong and amazing of u Ashley 2 support 4 kids like that, keep it up!

Coffrey
Coffrey: I think it should be illegal, quite frankly. We're no longer at the point where we can just endlessly have kids and grow the population steadily, so eliminating accidental pregnancies and anyone under 25 having a kid is the first way to go, I think.

Coffrey: Nope. Most people are dumbasses before 25. I don't mean dumb like they can't function in society, there tons of smart people under 25, but there is a certain wisdom you get from experience and progression in life. Besides, by 25, usually you're pretty established in your field so you can bring up kids properly.

tylaaa: well I can personally say, im 19, with a 1 and a half year old, and I'm studying, working, living on my own without any help...I take care of my kid... not all people who have kids under 25 are dumb...some of us can do it...I didn't plan my pregnancy, but I wouldnt change it either

Coffrey: don't get me wrong, not all people who do that are unable, I'm just saying, you won't reach the maximum potential you would have otherwise. You'll do just fine, I'm sure, but where there are one of tylaaa, there are a hundred girls who need their mother to take care of their kid

Barbara the Jew: Coffrey i had my first child at 20. She is a joy and i am glad i had her young. I am 31 now and am doing just fine being a mother. A law obligating a mother to abort their child sounds fanatical and unjust.

Coffrey: We live in radical times, barbara. I believe that, if the US was in China's position, we'd probably do the same or worse. It's a sacrifice for the good of humanity. Unless you're going to pop out some wicked smart engineers who will get us to another planet

Barbara the Jew: If that where the case, age should not have anything to with it

Coffrey
Coffrey: The idea is to ensure that the kids that grow up be the best they can be and get all the things a kid needs to grow up stable and be a functioning member of society. That said, I've seen my share of late teens, early 20s girls having kids because they have baby fever and then not being able to handle it, having to stop a career, sometimes even before it has started, just to take care of the baby. That's why putting 25, which is an age where you've matured about as much as you could and are usually in a good position to raise him/her with everything they need.

Barbara the Jew: I dont agree with you. I had my career 6 months after my child was born. And a collage degree as well. Everyone matures differently.

Coffrey: I know and there are exceptions to every rule, you might be an exception. I figured that an age is less discriminatory than my original idea of having a degree to have a kid.

Barbara the Jew: Perphaps it should be best to base it on the number of children you can afford.

Coffrey: I don't know, because what if a mother has 3 kids or whatever and then loses her job or source of income? Are we then going to take the kids away?

laurenspencer: I have a 9 month old daughter and I am happily married, but when you decide to have a baby, just make sure you have thousands of dollars in savings, be prepared for nightly feedings, play time, trips to the Dr. office, fixing their food if not nursing, giving baths, cleaning up spitup, changing diapers and some nasty ones at that. your going to get fat when you are pregnant. your clothes wont fit. you will get a bigger butt, you boobs will sag. your b/f may look elsewhere for sex during and after the pregnancy. there is a lot of issues here. just be ready for it.
