Bigotry basically states that: you should not reject idea X, by reason Y, if Y is not related to evaluating the truth of X.

So, you can claim any idea as "X" and you will never be bigoted for that. But, your reason Y to support X, can only be a relevant reason.

For example, to reject claim X = "elephants are heavier than dogs", your reason should be Y = "true because weight scale confirms that". Note that Y is related to X.

In our case, the claim is X = "women are inferior to men at science/engineering". To evaluate that, Y = "history of human advacements in science/engineering and SAT scores since 1970s".

Note that Y is perfectly related to evaluating X. Therefore I am certainly not bigoted.

But, your reason is bigoted. I.e. you sate that X is wrong, simply because.. ? You really haven't mentioned any reason. Basically you are saying Y = "X is false, just because. Period".

Note that gender is used in "Y", therefore "Y" is a biggoted claim.

But using gender in "X", or anything else is all fine. As long as you back it up with a reason Y that is related to the claim in X.

If you notice, I never put "gender" in Y. I only put it in X -- which is perfectly fine.
