Big Bopper: If I'm hiring someone to be working in the same area as me, that person would be a non-smoker. It is not an erosion of rights, but a stipulation of my right to have people around who do not exude unpleasant smells and toxic fumes. There are good people who I do not regularly see simply because they smoke. Just the smell is deleterious to my health.

Benjamin014: I personally think it is about "Individual Liberty" vs. "Social health". That's what it comes down to. A never-ending battle. JMO

Big Bopper: I saw a little sign the other day:
~~~~~~~~~~~
Smoking is your choice. The waste product of burning a cigarette and inhaling the fumes is smoke. The waste smoke permeates the air that I breath, it gets in my eyes, in my nose and makes my hair and clothing smell of cigarette.
The waste product of drinking any fluid is urine. If you are smoking, you won't mind if I piss on your face, your hair and your clothing?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I avoid all people who smoke. Some are otherwise good people.

Benjamin014: That is true Big Bopper...I will even go further, the same goes for pot. Your clothes smell like a pot patch. Not to mention, your breath and probably anything/everything you put your hands on. Not sure about you, but would you want a couple of "pot heads" over for dinner? lol
