You wish (Page 2) MercuryDragon: That wouldn't be half bad provided I weren't so tasty I'll just stick with biological immortality with the body I have. (Post deleted by Geoff ) No_User_Name: I wish i had bought some icecream when i picked up dinner, now i cbf going back down the rd. Up side is i save on calories....yer right, like i worry about that. Corwin: So Geoff... when can I expect delivery of my Corwinnium Falcon? I do hope these wishes aren't just empty promises... I've already fixed up the spare bedroom for my new Wookie. Geoff: Do you know how hard it is to find a YT-1300, not to mention the parts required to modify it in the necessary ways? Geoff: @Jen - OK, just for you - you get another wish. But only because I can't bear those kawaii eyes filled with tears. Corwin: That's okay Geoff... it doesn't have to be illegally modified. The stock factory specs should do just fine... I don't mind if it takes more than 12 parsecs to do the Kessle Run. And hopefully in this quadrant of the galaxy I won't have to worry about avoiding any Imperial entanglements. Geoff: Actually - there is a wonderfully elaborate and scientifically plausible reason for the "Kessel Run" to be measured in distance. To whit: the Kessel mining facility is in a region of space prolific with black holes (which isn't scientifically plausible, but there we go). Travelling faster than light speed, it would be possible to skirt close to the event horizon of a black hole, and the faster you are going, the closer you could skirt without "falling in". Hence, to plot a course away from the spice mines, without the Imperial fleet catching you, you would take a difficult (i.e. more black holes) route. The faster your ship, the shorter that route. Corwin: The Wookie is for maintenance, of course. I'm pretty good with a motorcycle or an old Chevy, but I'm all thumbs when it comes to Corellian Light Freighters. Aura: Now I'm disappointed. With a stock ship I would have thought all you needed was the manual to figure things out. I guess you're not the mechanical genius I made you out to be. I'll never get over this disillusion Geoff: I have a blueprint for a YT-2000 that involves concurrent targeting across a rack of 8 concussion missile launchers. TIE Fighters?
