Legends © (Page 3) Azimuth_Predator: Ok i am sorry but i am not going to accept a bollywood actor on the legends list lol Bollywood is people with no talent that just look good. If you want some Indian Talent then Russel Petters is the guy you are looking for. Bollywood is far from legendary. My self and the rest of the world except India will never take it seriously. And this is why ~LoisLane~: Russell Peters is Up and coming in this category for sure!!!! <<--- BTW (Edited by ~LoisLane~) Ms Aryaa: @Azimuth_Predator Bollywood is the film industry .The movies are in Hindi language, India's national language. Most of the studios are in Mumbai. The vid. you have posted is not of a bollywood. It seems like a South-Indian movie, cause the language is south indian. Bollywood and South Indian movies are two different things. Different langiage, different actors and different tastes of audience. Having said that, I didn't say that Bollywood is a legend. I say Amitabh Bachchan is a legend. He is a versatile actor. You cannot compare Russel Peters with Amitabh Bachchan. It is hilarious, like someone putting a 20-year old girl on same level as Gandhi. Yes, Bollywood movies are different from Hollywood. But that doesnot make them inferior in any way. It is a culture thing. Not only India, bollywood movies are popular in all its neighbouring countries. Middle East, and among the NRI's [Non-Resident Indians all over the world]. few clips of Amitabh Bachchan movies....you will get the idea of his versatility... YouTube YouTube Ms Aryaa: @Azimuth Predator "Ok i am sorry but i am not going to accept a bollywood actor on the legends list lol" You should....cause it is truth. Do some homework before posting your ignorant views... Here this is wiki link - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amitabh_Bachchan I copy part of it to prove my point: In 1999, Bachchan was voted the "greatest star of stage or screen" in a BBC Your Millenium online poll. The organisation noted that "Many people in the western world will not have heard of [him] ...[but it] is a reflection of the huge popularity of Indian films."[66] In 2001, he was honoured with the Actor of the Century award at the Alexandria International Film Festival in Egypt in recognition of his contribution to the world of cinema.[67] Many other honours for his achievements were conferred upon him at several International Film Festivals, including the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Asian Film Awards.[68] In June 2000, he became the first living Asian to have been immortalised in wax at London's Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.[69] Another statue was installed in New York [70] and Hong Kong in 2009.[71] In 2003, he was conferred with the Honorary Citizenship of the French town of Deauville.[72] He was honoured with an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Jhansi, India, in 2004,[73] the University of Delhi in 2006,[74] the De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, in 2006,[75] the University Brandan Foster by the Leeds Metropolitan University in Yorkshire, UK, in 2007, [76] and the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, in 2011.[77] Thank you. | Off Topic Chat Room Similar Conversations |
