An alternative to Myspace and Facebook

Levitan
Levitan: The ironic words when you joined.

As a notable sagacious chatter, I am spelling it out to the disenchanted of Wire;

My first concern is how Moderator friendly this site is now, isn't it supposed to be user friendly? the word I shall aim at these people is ''opprobrium'' and may they feel every ounce of it.

There is no free speech, which means the despots are now marketing our information to advertisers and companies to make a quick profit at our expense.

WireClub does not care about it's users as it is seen as a marketing feature that can be utilised to either send trafficto a website, or use the information held on the databases to sell to other companies, if we had free speech that would be one thing.

They have placed a system which allows Moderators to pick room Moderators, expanding the clique control, but also creating a new wave of sycophants that will act and behav in a way that pleases the said mod, at the cost of socialy normality. I wonder if the Admins know how their mods act? I am sure they do given the amount of complaints sent their way, yet what is done? The mods are autocratic here, hence why most are from Canada and all have close ties with one another.

We are witnessing a secular synthetic socialist regime where all free thought and speech is frowned upon. To ensure maximising social enginering through this site, they are allowing minors in to be conditioned and integrated within the sycophant community, a good example of this is found in the Lounge, an extreme Liberal breeding ground that panders to every mods desire with the vacuous topics and malleable chatters. I am a Liberal myself, however extreme liberalism is damaging, especially when implimented in a fascist authoritarian conduct.

I shall be actively seeking a new chat server now as this one has become a cheap immitation of Facebook/Myspace, the coding is substandard anyway.

BradenBraden (Wireclub Admin)
Braden: This is a bizarre post, let me clarify some things

- Nothing has changed as far as "moderator friendly" other than the introduction of far more clear rules

- Nothing has changed as far as our content policies, they are just written more clearly. People have the freedom to express the thoughts they want - you are not being censored for disliking wireclub for example, this has not changed.

- Moderators do not pick other moderators - people who CREATE chat rooms can promote their friends. This was meant to create an alternative to the official rooms.

Levitan: If you spent some time in your chatrooms, watched how your ''moderators'' act, you would understand the concerns of chatters who aren't part of a clique, you would see a state of equipoise in chat.

Why do we have the block button if we are to be treated like children and moderated at the discretion of a glorified chatter?

I witnessed Jack suspend a chatter for simply stating '' you're as bad at moderating as you are at humour'' this innocuous comment was in the free speech Sexy room, this is a widespread occurance, with many moderators, and the reason why people view Wire now as a clique despotism regime.

You have moderators moderating each other, which as I have pointed out, is a conflict of interests, then you have moderators selecting who the next moderators are, of course they will choose their friends.

These are problems which have now been amplified in the new Wireclub and yes I have seen a Moderator in Lounge make another user a room Moderator.

The main issue is, chat is not fun, the istuation has been exacerbated, you can't debate if a Moderator decides it's not a topic he or she wishes to witness, if you engage a moderator in discourse 9/10 you get suspended for making them look foolish, you are then marked by the moderator and singled out on every turn, as a stoic person I can deal with this by turning it off or not logging in for a while, but if you were of the people, you would see these issues.

You were supposed to emoliate chat for everyone, but it seems to have only worked out well for moderators and sycophants, a social bourgeoise.

My general feeling of Wire is now one of malaise, I see disenchanted chatters in a state of insouciance, yet it would only need a scintilla of sedulous thought to once again make Wireclub suigenerus, though i fear a stagnent apocryphal will be ineluctable.

Wireclub is now insipid like Buzzen, Phriek where is organised secular fascism and clique conformities are banal. If block is not a function that is to be used, remove the feature, if it is, allow us to be adults and moderate our own lives. Moderators should be an option to remove offensive pictures, spammers and minors, nothing more, once this is addressed, then and only then can Wire prevail.

DrCarrieAnneMD: I think that removing the suspension message leaves moderators with no accountability. If suspensions aren't public then it's difficult to ascertain whether a moderator is acting justly or simply power-tripping. I'm not saying that all or even most moderators would do so, but when it comes down to it we're all human and as such prone to making mistakes at times.

ReLsTeR: Agree with Levi's post. I don't come on wireclub as much now I already couldn't stand mods with the old version, but now it seems like they have even more power to abuse. Just the other night, Sebby was gloating about the fact that now mods have been given even more power and that users have been stripped of their rights for free speech.

DrCarrieAnneMD: I'm sorely disappointed with the removal of Exile. It was quite a unique feature to Wire, in the sense that it was more of a 'time out' than a banishment from the community. Now, when friends are unfairly targeted by megalomaniac moderators pursuing personal vendettas, we're unable to go there and support them. Sucks.

DrCarrieAnneMD: And Rel yes I saw that, triumphant celebration of the removal of free-speech rooms. At the core of it, rules do not bother me. If there's no free-speech so be it, but make the rules clear. It's the selective implementation of rules, and the abuse of power or sheer INVENTION of rules by moderators who have allowed their personal feelings to interfere with their responsibilities is what is alienating lots of people, and it's sad. If the site must be moderated, then really, it should move with all these new changes and think about the way the moderation here is structured. This is particularly in regards to the development and perpetuation of a clique culture.

FalconLeaves: "People have the freedom to express the thoughts they want - you are not being censored for disliking wireclub for example, this has not changed."

You haven't even used the site for years, Braden. At one time not too long ago, you even had your picture removed and practically dissaperaed from the site alltogether. This is the first time I've ever seen you post actually, is on the new Wire. So with that all said, no you do not understand how your mods act or what they are doing. You and Rod pick these mods, and then you put all the trust in them. But at the end of the day, these mods are still strangers to you. And at the end of the day, you have no clue how they act. But do you or Rod even care? From what I've seen, no you don't. Otherwise something would have been done about them all a long time ago.
Btw, thanks for responding to my question I posed in a message. I finally got an answer from a mod, but obviously that mod was not you. What, too busy trying to fix the bugs in the system?
