BunziBallz: I think people shouldn't complain about pirating movies considering where Im at it costs 50 bucks for my 5 year old son and I to see a movie and share a popcorn and 2 drinks. Also most of the movie companies for the previews only show the best parts of the movies so you're thinking your going to see a great movie and end up sitting through the movie 28 days later. In my eyes was the worst movie.So why not be sitting at home for free watching a movie?

hornchurchmale: aware pirate DVD's. human nature is the driving force. greed on part of makers/sellers. something for free or a bargain on part of buyer.
no point showing how little it costs to produce an actual DVD. it about what it costs to film in first place. studios always looking to maximise profits on basis it will. fund. new movies.
shops selling DVD's. .artists ..copyright etc. .it all adds up to a significant mark up.
many cinemas are charging a high. rate to view a film and if buying sweets/drinks , these are often a huge mark up!
result ,, people especially if funds are tight ( austerity etc) will want to escape in entertainment for an hour or so but at what price?
local. cinema here has very low prices. for entry and ALLOWS you to bring own drink.sweets in or buy! result , its ticking over nicely.
like a hotel mini bar where prices are extremely high..who is willing to pay rates demanded unless somebody else picking up bill?
now imagine. the aforesaid hotel charged same price as high street? result=more sales and overall more profit! apply same thinking to DVDs and we. ought to see sales increase as simply not worth buying an inferior quality version if prices are comparable.
can understand both sides of the argument. study needs to recoup and balance profits versas losses.. sadly when it supplies DVD's to market ( eve after making loads of. money) it WILL feel at as high a premium as possible. thus we arrive at same point we stared at.. those well heeled can afford to but. those at other end of scale will seek pirate versions. ( said eform those whom would always seek cheaper alternatives anyway regardless of what is on sale)
