How do you know what love is?

cuddlebug1019
cuddlebug1019: I have always been wondering about something, and been cracking my brain on it for sometime. If you're in a relationship with someone, after a while, how do you know that you're in love with them. I mean how do you know that it's really love and its not just for that time your with them? At that time you think that you never want to be away from them and always wish to be them, but once you break up its like nothing ever happened. And isn't it possible that you can love someone but you're not in love with them? What do you guys think?

getting your heart broken twice by the same person, does it get easier or harder to deal with?

jrutter52: This is a very difficult, complicated question. That initial head-over-heals feeling is lust and infatuation and will eventually burn out. If, however, that person has become your best friend, someone who listens and whom you listen to, someone you do nice things for just because it makes you feel good to see their eyes light up, someone you make love to not so much out of lust but for the closeness and intimacy; then you have found true love.
