People are always saying this and that rappers the best. Whats it mean to be the best. Most album sales? Best Tours? Deepest lyrics? Coolest flow? Original sound? Most singles?. Its all relative quite frankly. Every artist is good and unique in there own way. Hard to say that someone is the "best" mc rather than saying an mc excels at certain aspects of music.

People compare rappers because rap is always about comparisons, it is a very competitive hobby, the music? No, the poetry? Yes, if you want it to be. Rap battles have existed even before their was rappers selling records, it's just built on those grounds. I respect it as a unique use of poetry.

I definitely agree though, I am not alone when saying this, People do need to judge rappers that are similar more if they are comparing them by skill, because if not, it gets easily confusing and many logic holes appear. One rapper will be better at another aspect and vice versa.

It's why Biggie and 2Pac comparisons are so tricky and turn out to be pointless or just fan opinion bias,

I think 2pac should be compared with Lowkey,
And Biggie compared with Gift of Gab or Chris Rivers.
