Favorite Breed oh_good_laughs: What are some varieties of dogs that you've had?, And among those, what is your favorite breed, and why? I've had Collies, German Shepards, Rottweilers, Chows, Cocker Spaniels, Great Pyrenees, Snousers, and a Bull-massive/Ridge-back mix. Out of these, my favorite is.. 1. The Bull-massive/Ridge-back mix 2. Rottweiler 3. Great Pyrenees or German Shepard  eternal_peace: Favourite would have to be the English Staffordshire Bull Terrier. They are one of the most loyal breeds and all about family. Don't understand why they get such a bad rap. Also the German Koolie, they're just intelligent and loyal dogs and can fit into any type of lifestyle. Had English Bulldogs (beautiful breed, but a lot of maintenance), Staffy and a Koolie . eternal_peace: My Koolie protects me no matter what...just have to give her the little command "Help Mummy" and she's there. She doesn't herd anything...and when they say they are energetic dogs who require hours of exercise, I will disagree because given the choice, she will choose a ride in the car over a walk...I think she must have learned this off the Staffy.  harlett: I live on three fenced acres .... they run , hunt much too my chargrin .... lots of wild rabbits ..... snakes ..... and of course are very quietly enjoying the air conditioning ...in this moment..... I have a mobile vet ... my vet comes to the house too give them their shots .......  harlett: I take way too good care of them ........ but if i hadn't been and something awfull happened too them ..... I do believe I'd try those chinese crested ........... harlett: Your right^ risen_sun86 ...... my mini pins are so pampered and living in puppy paradise that they allow me too live in and take care of their of their puppy palace ......which i don't mind at all, for they are my favorite best of favorite best friends.......they're watching the newsday programs right now , wondering if i'll make sunday morning doughnuts ........  Mandy1970: mine sound like yours harlett, mine allow me to live with them, im here to be at their beck and call, but they give so much to me in return its all worth it. I have a pom, and and pom x chihuahua, they are both very special. harlett: I have a now six year old male .... i call monkey boy .... who you have too just love .... he get's into these moods where he wants too sit in the exact spot i am ...... and tries too stare me down send me mental messages too move .... as he does too rest of the pack ......... they have so much individuality and personality that it never ceases too amaze me ........ Mandy1970: i think dogs have such different personalities one of mine is very timid, and the other one is very outgoing and social. Both love there time having doggie cuddles with me though auscangirl: I am a Boxer dog lover. Have had them since I was 14years old. Currently I only have one, my male. He is 8years old. I use to breed and show my dogs but with my family expanding it just got to hard. I am hoping to get back to it in a few years. I also have had German Shephards, Sheltand Sheepdog and Chihuahua. eternal_peace: Miss my little Boxer (although he was a cross with Border Collie). I had to put him down He was a beautiful dog towards me. Very loyal, and affection but became increasingly aggressive and starting biting and drawing blood on other people (have a good idea how it all began though). I couldn't find a house to rent so I could have him, and wasn't able to get him rehomed, RSPCA wouldn't accept him. And having little kids around him, became too risky. auscangirl: oh eternal peace...I am so sorry to hear that. I too have had to put a few dogs down and it does not can any easier. Do you have any dogs at the moment? eternal_peace: Working dog. All good, question that is asked a lot. Bets way is to google it and it gives you a good idea of what they look like. auscangirl: Okay great. I shall do that. I am always interested in new thing and learning about different breeds.
