what kinda dogs ya got ?? (Page 2) PTBO52: French Bulldog are so cute. You don't see too many Peke's anymore. I think they were over bred in the past and had really bad breathing problems. coachsmom: Mine has problems breathing when the pollen is bad. We had his mom rescued her from a puppy mill, she passed away this last year with heartworms. Chrystel: Hi! I have a doberman called Rety. Shes my most loyal friend, protector and never too shy to "speak her mind". Aguess she has a lot of temper like her owner . Chrystel: Well, if u already put it like that, she does have cut ears and a cut tail. But ive never noticed that she's had a problem with that. southernbelle: Dob's ears and tails are supposed to be cut. They're beautiful dogs but I'm scared to death of them Chrystel: I used to agree with u, i was used to dobs when they were cut. Around where im from, the cutting is not allowed for years anymore. But aguess it all comes down do what people r used to. I brought my puppy from abroad and she was cut before i took interest in her. Now, when i look into her ever willing face, I know that it doesnt matter what she looks like. She was always meant to be the loving and adorable doggy that she is now. Cut or uncut. But when it comes to being scared of them... thats just the reputation of dobs. Southernbelle: Not trying to be nasty but if the dog was meant to have its ears and tail done they would be born this way. If you ever see them with ears and tail they look like a hound which is in their breeding. I worked at a Vet's in 80's when they still did them and you wouldn't believe the yelping and howling they did when the morphine wore off. It hurts big time. It gets infected I have seen a real mess before. She is very smart and can learn a new trick in a few 10 min sessions. The things that motivate her are FOOD, Truck rides, Walks and bike rides.
