There are a lot records out there that don't get that much credit...but if you look mixing it with new tracks, then the point of view changes. Many of the new song out have been sampled or blended to make a new hit for the new generation. In order to make the mix sound good you have to have the tempos mixed perfect...that can only be manipulated with the pitch level on the side of each turntable, you will know that the tempo sound blended right when the snares in the music are hitting at the same time. After perfecting that you will now be ready for the cues, in each song there is a build up and a break down. These break-downs/build-ups have to make the listener have some sort of sensational feeling when these parts are playing or else there is no point for the break-down/build-up to used in the song. many DJ's use lots of bass or hi hats to achieve this build-up/break-down sensation.....this is step one toon in for step two soon...but for now find old tracks and kickin new tunes..
