Generally I think most ppl are good. It's something that has be established when one is young. I think the main idea is to respect other ppl. Seems nowadays that is sorely lacking. If you can't respect your self (no this isn't a song lol) then how can you respect others.

Weather people are good or bad is a matter of perspective how do you define goodness or badness these are relative terms and i tend to think that the vast majority of people in there own way are good and most acts of badness /evil occur out of inaction rather then well conceived notions of maliciousness there is no such thin as good or bad in the animal world we dont judge an animal for acting on instinct we all have the capasity of being good and the capasity of being bad its circumstance that dictate one from the other .

I think human kind is ultimately bad, but I believe that we have one of the strongest desires to be good and appreciated for it.. But once that is snatched away people turn to the bad inside... So yeah, man is ultimately evil but with a yearning to be great..

Good is pretty vague. There are many unscrupulous CEO's and politicians who can still be good because they aren't murderers or criminals yet they still will lay off thousands of workers for profit or increase taxes. I can't answer this without making huge generalizations like everyone in the Navy is bad and everyone in college is good. People are brought up with different value systems and some are taught humility and altruism while others aren't really given any discipline or moral guidance. Generally people know what is right and wrong though because of laws and even a horrible sense of judgment would let someone know that you should be good to other people. I'd say most people are good until put in desperate situations.

I try to believe in the reign of the good.
In my so far life, the good has sooner or later been paid back/returned with the good.

Humans are sick, masochistic, and cruel. They tear apart families because they want more land. They kill millions of people over religious purposes. No two groups think alike, and it angers them to the point of war. Rape, poverty, etc. All this comes from the decisions human-kind has made. But still, I don't think there's another creature on this planet or the next that can think, dream, and love as beautifully as a human can. And you have to look at all the fantastic things that humans bring to the world, no matter how small each one is. I don't think humans can be good or bad, because the human race is so much more complex than two common adjectives can explain.

There's a funny quote I heard the other day. "Expecting life to be fair to you because you are good is like expecting a bull not to charge you if you are vegatarian."

well well...I have never said it was, is or will be fair. But if you impose something on people - generally viewing it - 2 major (and all the shades in-between) are possible - you burn before you manage to persuade them or at least some of it stays in some of them - and that, in the world of today, anyway, is a victory (and , of course, I do regret to have disturbed the almighty-ness of my pre- and after- writer......*-----moving away in a bow, not showing the back...hehehe)
