I used to, but it started to piss me off a bit. I'm currently running PCLinuxOS 2009.

I ran Ubuntu when I was in a Linux/Unix class for school. It was good but honestly I prefer Windows because it's so easy and most programs are written for Windows or Mac. I like to f* around in the shell though.

i use ubuntu 8.04...i did upgrade, but then down graded so that i could use skype
very nice and easy to use...specially if you like to play around with different setups and stuff, and gaming is achievable using programs such as WINE and CrossOver...both of which ive had no problems playing games off

I recommend using ubuntu 9.04 with a custom kernel like 2.6.31-stable..
if you have an older system i'd go with xubuntu 9.04 w\a 2.4 kernel - it'll manage your hardware a ton better and have a lot less trouble with getting max performance out of the older HDD's.

Most people running generic kernels are not getting max performance out of their hardware.

I run Ubuntu 9.04 and dual boot with windows vista.

More importantly, What do you use Ubuntu for?? It's a brilliant Linux OS based on Debian so it makes it easy to install apps in the command-line like $apt-get install squid and so on..

One thing i like about Ubuntu is that probably the most easy to get the hang of after using windows. Installing apps with Synaptic makes it easy with point and click action.. with a downloaded List of apps, windows has never done that.

And best of all IT'S FREE
