I found a stray cat a while ago, and she has had three litters( I know I need to get her spayed, so dont yell at me! she runs off whenever I seperate her from her littens, and comes back a month later with a new batch.) But thats not the problem. I went out today to feed her and the kittens, when I noticed one of the kittens was tanged up in some hay bale twine. I went up to free her, and thats when I realised it was a lot worse than anticipated. The twine was wrapped so tightly around her waist, that it was nearly embedded in her stomach. It was probably the worst experience of my life. I got her loose, but she has barly regained use of one of er legs, and the other one is limp. Im afraid she broke her back. She can crawl around, and she doesnt appear to be in pain. Im also afraid there has been internal damage.how can I tell if her back is alright? We cant bring her to the vet, and I wont consider euthenasation.

I'm pretty sure if her back was broken she wouldn't even be able to crawl. Sounds like she needs to get circulation going again. How is the Mother acting towards the kitten?

take it to the vet, it'll probs die if it has internal injuries, why can't you take it to the vet?

Take the kitten to the vet, there could be multiple thing going on. Some more serious than others. there could be a slipped disc, or loss of circulation. Also if the twine did imbed even a little it could cause infection and the kitten will die

Take it to the vet & lie your pants off.Tell them you found it somewhere & that you dont know who it belongs to however you cant adopt it yourself because you cant afford the vet care for it.Most vets will take it,give it the care it needs then find someone to adopt it that will pay all the expenses.
