best serial killer movie?......The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon.....even though its not a movie its still great.....

I'm surprised nobodies even mentioned John Doe(se7en) or Mahogany(MMMT)...
there's all this slasher and gore flick shit going on, like the mass murderers/serial killers Freddy Krueger and Jason voorhees, what about the off beat ones?

Patrick Bateman(American Psycho) hasn't even been mentioned yet. Cause the movie ends much like the novel, it never tells you if his killings were psychological or real, it's up to the watcher/reader to decide what they just watched.

Good call on american psycho. I'm going to throw a couple more out there....Bad Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy. Norman Bates from the old school psycho movies. Dude was just creepy.
Almost Forgot. Does Pinhead count. Your f#*xy^ if you run into that guy....and he is probably the most creative.

I wouldn't really call Pinhead a mass murderer because he is the lead Cenobite in a group of 5 originally led by a 6th unseen leader known as The Engineer in the original text and Leviathan in the movies. He's primarily made of ethereal flesh and wounds but before that was a ww2 soldier who cracked Lemarchand's Toy Box(for this purpose Pandoras Box)and was immediately sent forth into the realm of the Engineer/Leviathan and reborn as a Cenobite, Leviathans enforcer.(but really that origin part is only part of the movies)

Jason, Michael, Freddy, Leatherface are all kick ass no doubt but I;d consider those more "slasher/mass murderers" than serial killers.

Hmmm how about "Switchback" Danny Glover plays a pretty decent serial killer in that one. "Monster" based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos was good. "Silence of the Lambs" "The Watcher" not a big K. Reeves fan though and "From Hell"

"The Deliberate Stranger" about Ted Bundy is also really good, Mark harmon's great in that one!
