define singer, i mean professional singer who gets paid, or ppl who can just sing and if that is the case u cant believe the ppl on here cause i watch xfactor and lots of "singers" cant sing.

I think a singer is anyone who has 'it' - a passion for singing. And that requires hearing capacity too.

There's some gray area with many famous 'artists' today because a lot is taken care of with computers.

But besides that, "Are you a singer?" is a loaded question.
