My favorite band just depends on what mood I'm in at the time. Some of them are:

Flight of the Conchords: How could anyone not like New Zealand's fourth most popular parody folk duo? They never fail to cheer me up.

Alice in Chains: Loved them in the 90's, and their new stuff is much better than I thought it would be.

CKY: Their sound is different from most of the stuff you find on the radio, and they still have the best live show of any national band I've ever seen.

Bad Religion: They're the reason I started listening to punk.

The Pimps/Goodyear Pimps/G***amn Pimps: Relatively local band that has the overall best show I've ever seen. They interact with the crowd like no other band, and they're great to hang out with. Also, the first CD I bought from them was called "More Songs About Drugs With Curse Words"
