Why is education and hospitals are so expensive.. because these public facilities have been catering to the Catholic system.. Our public systems are still outnumbered by the archaic Catholic system.. We inherited these facilities by our ancestors who had bad judgement. The catholic establishment is ruled by the pope who sees himself above our needs.. Catholicism is a religion and should not be allowed in a position to influence our government though it.s business activities.. YES BUSINESS ACTIVITIES.. if people want to be catholic, then let those people pay tuition fees to the church. These Catholic businesses are exempt from paying taxes as they rake in money from the public, from the government right and left.. We have to get the government to treat this entity called Catholicism as a business. Make them pay taxes,and stop feeding them our public money. then we will be able to see more of what we expect from these resources. and not be black mailed into religious decisions upon our government. did you know that the catholic religion is not only being funded by our provincial governments, but also through municipal taxes, and to top that off, they are tax exempt.. the church should be treated as a business. and made to pay taxes and conform to lawful business practices. They have claimed charitable donation status.. they earn far to much income to be considered charitable. they are charging $20 to $50 per aspirin in their hospitals. Gypsy
