Any suggestions? I'm looking for a good compact camera with flip and twist lcd-screen. at least 2" but would be nice to find one with 2,5"or more.

Optical zoom at least x4 but x5 would be better.
8-10 mxpl or around there.
fairly quiet
good video quality with sound
changeable lens would be great (but not necessary)
coldproof in some ways (can be below -10 C here)
Good to take pics without flash when half dark
That uses rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries would be a big + ( rechargeable batteries either way is a must)

Must be at least under 550 $ or around that( under 4000 skr) but any suggestion is interesting unless it passes like 660 $ or something.

Doesn't Nikon have something like that? Flip screen and video I am pretty sure, not sure about the rest.

thanks. I'm searching around a lot as well. Hm course zoom is important. Doesn't matter if one have how many pxl if you can't zoom in. Some cameras looks very good but I doubt I would want one without the flip screen since its very practical. I'll check nikon, i know canon have some cameras

The higher the megapixels the higher the quality of the pic. You can blow it up a lot more, zoom it in when you're editing. Its no good having high optical and digital zoom if you only have a low amount of megapixels, because if you do enlarge it, it can become pixelated. So, IMHO megapixels are more important than the zoom feature. I'm not saying you don't need zoom, but it's just that everyone focuses (no pun intended ) on that and ignores the importance of the amount of megapixels. Hopefully this is more clear, than my first post...I was being lazy

Thanks for the info, even tho one might need to zoom in as well and I heard the camera needs to be able to be big enough so the pixls can get all the light in otherwise less pixels can be better.
