Should LEBRON stay with the CAVS after this upcoming season?

Ok...so KING JAMES has an OPTION CLAUSE in the contract he signed back in '06, which stipulates that he can exercise the right to become a FREE AGENT rather than re-sign with the CAVS. If YOU were his royalness, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

MY ANSWER = I WOULD STAY WITH THE CAVS. Cleveland has already spent Lebron's entire years with their organization BUILDING THE TEAM AROUND HIM!!! And despite being bounced out off the Eastern Conference Championships last year by the MAGICS, HE NOW HAS A PRETTY COMPLETE TEAM AROUND HIM = this offseason's signing of SHAQ-FU allows the CAVS to have a "TWIN TOWER" possibility with O'Neal and "BIG Z" Ilgauskas or, more likely, have "Z" come off the bench, then you got All-Star PG Mo Williams running the team, the other guards are Delonte West, and upstart Daniel Gibson, "Some would say 'should be an All-Star'" (but not me) Anderson Varejao at the 4 spot, 'Bron's back up is Jamario Moon.

Plus, if he were to leave for somewhere else, say for argument sake, large market NEW YORK, he won't get big money because by the time that offseason rolls around, the League will have an ever stricter League-wide Salary Cap.

So, in my opinion, I think LEBRON should stay a CAV!

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Actually, he already turned down the extension. If he becomes a free agent, can't the Cavs try to renegotiate and possibly give him more money? I'm not really sure how that works. Maybe money is not the issue. Money is important yes, and I'm sure him and his agent(s) know what he's worth so it makes sense to back out of a deal if they know they can get more, but maybe the elusive ring is what he's really after. In my opinion, I think he made the right decision in opting for free agency. Think of the immediate difference he makes to any team that he decides to play with. He made the Cavs a contender. Without him, they're a sub-par team that might not have made it into the playoffs.

yes, they can renegotiate. actually, if it's anything like Lamar Odom's past issue with the Lake Show, than if a team offers a deal to Lebron, then the Cavs have an opportunity to match the offer. I also agree with you when you say you don't think money is the issue, because it is not. BUT IT MAY BE LATER! I'm sure these athletes take that into CONSIDERATION whenever contract time comes around. But he DOES WANT A RING!!! That's gotta be why he is CONSIDERING a change in scenery. But who can AFFORD him must be a question too! would he be willing to take less money if need be? We just gotta wait and see.

Haha. True true. Who CAN afford him?

I just can't see Lebron playing for the 'Bockers.

It will be fun to watch him and Shaq play together this upcoming year. Hope Shaq can stay healthy. Christmas day.....Lakers vs. Cavs!

Yeah, that'll be a good game. And although I'm not a BIG FAN of Lebron, I appreciate and respect his skill and talent level, so I will say this: I'm happy for him that the CAVS went out and got SHAQ! If anybody in the league deserves HELP, IT'S BRON-BRON! Even more than my CELTS needed to get 'SHEED. I mean he will help Boston but they already got the Big 3, and Starbury for whatever he's worth. But it's going to be nice watching SPORTCENTER highlights of KING JAMES and SHAQ-FU teaming up. It's the NEW superhero duo of SUPERMAN...and I guess...BATMAN???

lbj23 should stay in cleveland depending on how this upcoming season turns up. i think the cavs now have a complete team with the additions of shaq, powe, moon, and parker. they got more versatility at each positon and that was the main problem for them last year against the magic. no more quicker power forwards like rashard lewis and turkoglu abusing the slower players and i think that will help the cavs in the long run
