WireClub - Facelift!

WireClub gets a bit of a facelift! You might have noticed that things look a bit different around here, it is subtle but makes the site much cleaner looking. We changed the fonts sitewide and bumped the size up a little bit so things should be a bit easier to read. It sounds simple but is actually a lot of work to change the size of all the text, things need to be tweeked to make sure the they still line up. If you find any formatting problems please post on the wireclub forum, we are always working to fix things.

You probably noticed the forums link on the main navigation; we are experimenting with having some general-purpose forums. If this goes well we will add more forums for different topics, so go post!

Club Search

We also added a simple club search feature; you can see the search box under the club categories on the club home page. Try advanced search to look for clubs in a specific category. This is pretty basic right now; we are planning a more advanced search system sometime in the future! We hope this will help everyone find clubs they are interested in as the number of clubs is growing very quickly.

New Site Chat Room

You may have noticed the new <STRONG>chat</STRONG> option that we added to the main navigation last week. This chat room is meant as a central gathering place for new members. From here you can meet new people and find out about other clubs or chat rooms that you might want to check out. Since there are so many clubs often times there will be very few people in the chat rooms, this is meant as a way of solving that problem so you always have someone to chat with!

We are planning many more improvements to the chat room features on the site in the coming weeks including a better matching system and a chat room search feature. See you in the chat room!
