RAPES BY A STRANGER IN HER OWN HOME| Rena
Since she didn't have a computer, Rena spent three hours in the school's library finding names for her project. At first, she thought of just picking random names and writing them down, but the more names so looked at, the more the names became important to her. The more she wanted them to mean something, even though it was just a doll she was going to be naming. 'I'm acting stupid...Its not like its my own baby, but for some reason I'm happy doing this,' Rena thought with a smile as she started on the boy's names. 'Oh wait, I told him I wouldn't do these...But if I don't then who will?' Rena thought as she scanned around the internet for ideas for names. Her eyes drifted down to the cover of the assignment packet. "This course will test the parenting ability of the student..." was one of the things listed in the description. It made Rena smile. 'Of all the things I want out of life, my top priority is to be a good parent,' she smiled and the thought made her work harder, but then HE flashed across her mind. 'Why did my partner have to be Seto Kaiba? Why?! He won't help at all, I swear, he'll end up just like dad if this-' Rena's eyes widened. "Oh no...Dad!" Rena gasped to know one, since she was the only one in the library. A slight fear was etched along her voice. She quickly turned of the computer and as started home. It was just her luck that it was raining. 'Great, this bites...' she thought dully as she ran home in the pouring, icy rain. Rena made her way to a set of dumpy, old, and scary set of apartments. She sighed, said hello to the doorman, and walked up the stairs. Rena reached for the door, hand quivering in fear. Suddenly, the door wrenched open and a man stood in the doorway. A tall, menacing, drunken man who Rena called "Father". Rena gasped, not expecting the door to open like that. "Where 'ere ya? You're not suppose to beh home dis late!" he said, speech slurred from the amount of alcohol he had, the beer bottle was still in his hand. "I was doing a project," Rena said, voice small. "Lies! Get into dis 'ouse, you lil' tramp! I know ya went out with those boys! Yer just like yer mother, now get in!" he yelled, hitting her in the side of the face with the bottle. Rena fell to the floor, hand over her face. The bottle had broke and the glass cut her skin, blood trickling down her face. Rena's father growled and pulled her into the room by her hair. He threw her to the wall of the room and began to punch and kick her until she was reduced to a bleeding, crying, injured heap on the floor. Then, as usual, her father passed out in his armchair. Once Rena was sure her father was asleep, she gathered herself up and limped to the bathroom. She removed the glass from her face and applied proper ointments to the rest of her injured body. She looked at her face in the mirror, the make up having washed off from the rain. She had a black eye from today's beating and the glass would only add to the numerous scars and burn marks that were hidden under the make up she wore. She sighed, used to this treatment, and limped to her bedroom. In the morning, she woke up feeling very groggy and very tired. Rena moaned and forced her trembling body out of bed and into the bathroom. She looked in the mirror again and found her face flushed. 'Not again...' she thought, sighing, as she took the thermometer out of the medicine cabinet and stuck it in her mouth. After a few moments, the reading on her temperature was done. 'Lets see...103! What the hell got me so sick?! Oh yeah, I walked home in the rain last night...And it looks like I'll have to walk to school in it too, Rena thought as she looked out the window. She didn't have to be at school for hours because she was only taking one class at the end of the day, but she wasn't going to stay at home. She put on the boy's uniform and grabbed her bag. 'Damn it...I got a little bit of blood on it. Well, its not like anyone will notice,' Rena thought after examining the bag. She went back into the bathroom and put on her make up to hide the scars, but she couldn't hide the black eye. Rena frowned at this and let her hair fall over the left side of her face to hide her eye. 'That won't work...But who'll honestly care why its there? I'll just tell anyone who asks I tripped,' Rena thought as she walked under an umbrella through the park. Soon, the time came for her to go to class so Rena left the park and made her way to Domino High. She put away her umbrella and walked to the classroom, making sure her hair was in the right spot. Rena walked into the classroom and her eyes landed on Kaiba, who was typing away on his laptop. Again. Rena rolled her eyes and attempted to keep her temper under control. That wasn't easy, since her fever had only gotten worse from her walk this morning and she was easily irritated right now. Rena sat down in her seat and put her bag down. 'This sucks, I hate being sick...I'm starting to get dizzy.' she thought as she got out the baby names list from her bag. Apparently, Kaiba took no notice to the starting of class. "Hey, put that thing away we have to get to work," Rena sighed, knowing he wouldn't. "No. He's only handing out the dolls anyway," he said in monotone. 'Damn, I hate it when I'm right...' Rena thought with a sigh. "Fine," she said. Kaiba glanced up at her, surprised that she was being so submissive. And what's with her hair today? She normally wore it in a pony tail, not that he cared, it was just different! He shook the thought from his head and continued to work. "Kaiba or Nekoi," the teacher called out. Rena shakily stood up and limped to the front of the class. Of course, the ever observant Seto Kaiba noticed this. Rena took the doll and held it like a newborn baby, smiling. Most of the other girls who got up to get the baby had done the same thing. She limped back and sat down. Why are you limping?" Kaiba asked suddenly while typing. "I fell and twisted my ankle," Rena said, speedily making up a lie. He looked like he was going to reply, but the teacher was making an announcement. "Alright, now that all the dolls are passed out, someone flip a coin to select the gender. Heads: its a boy. Tails: Its a girl. Once you've decided the gender, pick from the list of names. Both partners must decide on the name," the teacher said. Students began rummaging around to find coins and flip them. Rena, knowing she didn't have any money, looked over at Kaiba. "You gonna flip a coin or what?" she asked in a tired, annoyed tone. "No," he said simply. "Just do it..." Rena sighed, resting her head in her hands, mostly out of being sick and tired than being annoyed. "Don't you have lunch money you can flip?" Kaiba asked with a sigh of annoyance. "No, I'm not here during lunch," Rena said, So just flip the damn coin." Rolling his eyes, Kaiba reached into his pocket and pulled out a coin and tossed it. "Tails," he said shortly. "Girl then... Here, I like all of these, so I don't care which name you pick," Rena said and handed him the list of names. "I don't care about this project, so I don't care what the name is," he snapped, looking over the list with disinterest. Until one caught his eye. The name was Adina, the name of his mother. (NOTE! No one actually knows the name of Seto Kaiba's mother. I'm just guessing around. If you want a full explanation to why I chose it, just message me because I don't feel like explaining right now.) "Why's the name Adina on the list?" Kaiba growled. "Because I like it," Rena sighed, head on the desk now. The wood was cool and it felt good on her burning forehead. "Why?" he asked again. "Because it means beautiful and adored. If I ever have a baby girl, I'd want her to be beautiful and adored," she said with a hint of joy in her sleepy voice. "That's shallow," Kaiba smirked. "No its not. Every girl wants to be beautiful and adored...But sometimes, it just doesn't work out that way. So, at least the name indicates hope for the little girl," Rena said in a softer, sadder voice. "Forget it, we'll go with that then," Kaiba said emotionlessly, Take this back." He held out the list to her. "Just put it in the bag..." Rena said, too tired to take it from him. Kaiba rolled his eyes and reached for it. 'What the hell is wrong with her today? And why is she so...Why is there blood on her bag?' he thought, eyes widening as he saw the bit of blood. "Hey," he said sharply. "What?" she groaned, she was almost asleep too! "Why is there blood on this?" he asked, holding up the bag. Rena gasped and sat up quickly, thanking God that the hair fell into place over her eye when she did. "I, um...I don't know...I mean, its not blood, its, uh, probably ketchup or something," Rena said, not so smooth on the lying this time. But how could she when she felt so lightheaded and dizzy? The bell rang and all the students filtered out of the room. All expect Kaiba and Rena, Kaiba still towering over Rena with her blood stained bag. "I know blood when I see it, why's it here?" he asked sharply. "It doesn't matter!" Rena snapped, standing up suddenly and grabbing the bag. Too suddenly for her sick and injured body to handle. Rena lost her balance, tripping over her own feet, and crashing into Kaiba, her head resting on his shoulder and hair falling out of place. Rena quickly removed her head from his shoulder, having to push herself away from him with her hands. Even if it was only for a moment, Kaiba could feel her fever and her body's trembling from the slight impact. "You're sick," he pointed out. "I'm fine," Rena said softly, head down and hair hiding both eyes. Although, at that angle, Kaiba could see her left eye perfectly.
"What happened to your eye?" he demanded. "I fell," she said timidly. "No you didn't, someone hit you," he said, grabbing her chin and moving her head so he could see her eye better. Rena slapped him across the face. "Don't touch me! Don't ever touch me!" she yelled at him, grabbing the newly named Adina and running from the room. 'What the hell's wrong with her?' he wondered as he got into his black limo. He was mad that she had hit him, very mad actually. He had only tried to help, but she just smacked him away. 'Well, if that's how she's going to be, then I won't help her at all! Ever!' he thought angrily.
