Linkin Park go in to Space

Posted October 9 2008 11:09 PM

MTV have revealed details about the filming of Linkin Park's potential next single 'Leave Out All the Rest'. The guys have been in a studio filming in front of a green screen for the video treatment brought forward by none other than Joe Hahn.

"In the video — which features no performance footage — the band lives in a rundown, artificial habitat that's making its way across the galaxy. At first, the boys are seen passing the time performing mundane tasks, but then gravity is lost onboard the vessel, sending the guys floating about."

Linkin Park cancels China tour

Posted October 9 2008 11:07 PM

BEIJING, Oct. 9 -- American rock band Linkin Park has canceled its upcoming tour of the Chinese mainland, including a show in Shanghai, because of an injury to its lead vocalist.

According to Linkin Park's Website, singer Chester Bennington injured his back and is under doctor's orders to refrain from physical activity and travel.

An Oct. 12 concert in Shanghai, another on Oct. 15 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and the final performance scheduled for Oct. 19 in Beijing were canceled.

Linkin Park said through its Website that it sincerely regrets the cancellations and apologized to fans for any disappointment caused. It did not provide further information about Bennington’s injury.

Details about ticket refunds will be released today at www.ticketmaster.cn and major media outlets in cities that were scheduled to host the American band, Sina.com, reported.

Concert organizers are keeping in touch with the band and will announce any make-up dates if and when they are scheduled, the report said.

The concerts were organized to raise funds for victims in Sichuan Province. Tens of thousands died in May after a catastrophic earthquake hit the province
