Drug-fueled music from the 60's
I was walking the dogs with a few friends and the discussion turned to the topic of drugs. Before the conversation could really go anywhere, one of the girls quickly reminded us how 'bad' drugs where.. blah blah blah.. and the topic was changed.
It got me thinking though. I used to do a lot of drugs, and I'll tell you something honestly about drugs. I know it's not a very popular idea, you don't hear it very often anymore, but it's the truth: I had a great time doing drugs. Sorry. Never murdered anyone, never robbed anyone, never raped anyone, never beat anyone, never lost a job, a car, a house, or a loved one. I just laughed my ass off, and went about my day. And if you don't think drugs have done good things for us, then take all of your records, tapes, CDs, and MP3 playes and burn them. Cause you know what? The musicians that made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? Real f~^*z&* high on drugs. The Beatles were so f@*@~x~ high they even let Ringo sing a few songs.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, The Beatles.
I leave you now with a quote from the legenday, Hunter S. Thompson.
"I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me."
Transmisson over.
