The POWER Of A Minor Key *Watch This*

Posted November 5 2009 11:48 AM

So we all know the classic "Happy Together" by The Turtles right? Such a happy little tune. If you don't know who they are take a listen below.

Now, I just saw the movie The Stepfather last night (it sucked) and I discovered the band Filter did a cover of this song totally done in a MINOR key. Take a listen to the difference and how suitable it was for a movie of it's kind.

Your thoughts!

Congrats to Clint/Billy/Paws!

Posted November 3 2009 04:35 PM

It's been a busy week folks, I will be back to chat in a few days and I am TRYING to answer my inbox messages. Noticed some new changes around here in my absence. To make this short and sweet, I wanted to extend a congrats to Clint, Billy, and Paws as new Wire Mods. You three will do great!

See you all soon!

*EDITED* I was just informed that MegglePaws was given MOD status as well. Congrats to her too!

For The Next Week...

Posted October 30 2009 09:58 PM

Won't see much of me in the next 10-11 days due to the fact that I was hired for some gigs in a few studios and I have a few clients of my own that I will working with on their solo albums. Did not expect a lot of response from my newly posted ads! Anyways, if I am caught online I am probably viewing this website on my phone to check messages and mayyyybe I can sneak in the rooms for a bit. Until then, I will see you all soon!

Heard This In A Movie Preview!

Posted October 29 2009 08:06 PM

So yeah, I got around to seeing Saw 6 last night and during the endless previews I heard this amazing song. After some searching I found it. I knew it was a cover of an older song and it turned out to be a cover of Kate Bush's song "Running Up That Hill" by Placebo. Enjoy!

Holy crap!

Posted October 25 2009 12:55 PM

So ummm yeah, I just found out that apparently the fire alarm went off this morning in my building and I guess I slept right through it. Even though it was a drill, I did not get to practice my fire safety. That is to stop, drop, and DO A BARREL ROLL!

V Synth: Vocal Designer Card 2

Introducing: The Eigenharp

Posted October 20 2009 12:31 PM   Mood: Energetic   Listening to: music

So this thing is really cool. Finally released as a mainstream instrument as of a couple weeks ago, the Eigenharp takes music creativity to a whole new level. 8 years in the making and it is now ready to hit the stage LIVE.

Road Rage In The New Millenium

I must say, you gotta love technology!

Jimi Tenor - Musical Genius or Freakshow?

Posted October 9 2009 05:33 PM

Not too many people know about this guy and as always, I like to explore the deeper realms of the music universe. His music is very abstract which I really enjoy. His videos... well... see for yourself.

The music and video are just totally weird altogether.
WATCH THE WHOLE THING!

You might recognize this song from an Axe commercial.

Don't Text And Drive. Not Saying, Just Saying.

First the Hampster Dance, then Crazy Frog, then Gummi Bear, NOW SNUGGLE BUNNY!

Autotune The NEWS! Exactly what the title says....

Posted October 2 2009 12:15 AM

I FREAKING LOVE THIS! OK, so we have all heard enough of the use of 'autotune' in hip hop. These producers got creative! After watching this, there are more of these on YouTube. This is my favorite!

Musicians, NOT Meteorologists!

Posted September 25 2009 11:29 PM

So if anyone enjoys the pop-rock band Andrew WK, please write him a kind letter to leave the weather to the professionals. Hilarious!

More Sampling Gurus...

Will Smith: Sampling Guru

Posted September 22 2009 01:59 PM

Thought this was funny. I know a lot of artists out there like to sample from classic songs to give a more urban/modern appeal, but Will Smith.... he just takes the cake.

MEN IN BLACK

Sampled from, "Forget Me Not" by Patrice Rushen.

MIAMI

Sampled from, "And The Beat Goes On" by The Whispers

GETTING JIGGY WITH IT

Sampled from, "Great Dancer" by Sister Sledge
