Starving,poverty and dying of innocent people in Uganda(Africa)

Most people in my country Uganda are starving and dying of poverty, poverty is now one of the strongest diseases other than HIV/AIDS which is developing deeply in the people of Uganda. Unfortunately most of them don't know how to get themselves out of this mess, most of our time we are only focusing on the government.
The government also has failed to control poverty, now the taxation is only raising thus making every commodity used in uganda expensive.
The poor are getting poorer and the rich one richer

What can we do and what do you say about it?
