I used to be frightened in social situations. People would never believe that I was like that before. I have realized that self confidence is something that is not hard to achieve and can be learned if one is truly determined.
Some people are naturally confident because of their social exposure and upbringing. Well, if you are not that type of person, here are some tips to help you out. First, let's define what self confidence is. Self confidence means being calm, being cool, not being too concerned with what others think of you, being specific that you need confidence everywhere and you are willing to work for it and if that happens, understand that what you expect is what you will get. Another factor causing lack of self confidence is when you task your mind with negatives. Instead of "screwing up" your brain, set the right task for your brain by powerfully imagining feeling confident and relaxed in a hypnotic state to set it firmly into your subconscious mind.
Now, how can we achieve self confidence as quickly as we can? Imagine of a specific situation that you want to feel confident in. Focus on words that you want to be described at that time like "relaxed" or "calm" so that you can condition your brain and feel those words by imagining the situation and rehearse it in your mind.
If you are able to follow these steps, I am sure that you can develop higher self confidence in a short time.
