“Aware that life is available only in the present moment and that it is possible to live happily in the here and now, we are committed to training ourselves to live deeply each moment of daily life.”
-Thich Nhat Hanh
Living deeply each moment, even the dark ones that make us want to seek escape, in my humble opinion, serves to grow the soul. So, how do we live "happily" when life kicks us in the proverbial nuts? Backing up even further from this question, is happiness the goal of life?
What would it be like to sink into each moment, allowing life to move through without getting stuck, observing the thoughts and emotions with some amount of detachment...being present and detached, nothing except that moment, unattached to outcomes.
Your thoughts? Can't wait to hear them...
