So now I know who my real friends are...

Posted September 6 2009 09:38 PM   Mood: Angry

So I come into Canadian Chat for the first time in a long time. As soon as I walk in, people tell me to kick someone on behalf of someone on my friends list. SO, because they are my "friend" I don't hesitate.

Yet, 2 minutes later someone kicks me and only 2 people respond on my behalf. Not even the person who I kicked for not 2 minutes earlier made an effort to get my back. Says a lot for loyalty and friendship of some people.

I guess it'll allow me to trim down my friends list.

Thanks for nothing, a@%w&*x^.

How do i know??

Posted August 27 2009 03:24 PM   Mood: Confused   Watching: My kid swimming in the lake

So I think a woman just tried to hit on/flirt with me at the beach. Unfortunately for me, I was caught off guard and didn't exactly respond as well as I should have. Oh well. Dammit. She is pretty hot and pleasant, too. Stupid me. Better luck next time.

Now what?

Posted August 26 2009 02:22 PM   Mood: Bored   Watching: The Comedy Network

So after a nice night's sleep and a late wake up and spending an hour trying to get my kid out of bed, we finally managed to get out of the room. We went to DQ for an easy lunch and made the short drive to my babymama place. She invited my niece to stay an hang out until the rest of her family showed up after they came in from Van. They had to wait for my other niece who had spent a few weeks in Gatineau, Que. I think.

Anyway, after dropping them off, my mom and I decided to check out the small casino that's in our hotel. She went to plat some Texas Shootout to kill time. I wanted to check out the poker room and put my name on the list since it doesm't open til 6. Passing the blackjack table, i got the itch to play. But they only had one table open, and it had a few players on. Being an experienced player, I don't like playing with other players. But I thought playing a quick $60 won't be too bad. What a goid idea that ended up being. Out of about 15 hands I only lost 2. I deciddd to be smart and leave after the second loss. Came out on top $225 richer. If I bet my usual betting strategy (when I play alone) I would have been up more than $2000. Oh well, take what you get, right? So that was 20 minutes killed. Now I sit and wait in the room waiting for my sis to get into town, then until 6 when the poker game opens up. Right now it is just after 2pm. Booored.

Maybe I'll go for a nice walk around the town. Just gotta get myself motivated.

That's all for now. More to follow...

Prairie Doggin' On the Road...

Posted August 25 2009 05:48 PM   Mood: Tired   Watching: The news

So after 6 hours on the road with a 7 yr old, a 9 yr old and my mom, we finally arrived at Penticton. We actually arrived at the esrimated time, which makes me 100% at calculating ETA. surprisingly only 1 pee break at our first scheduled stop, one very short point of interest stop and one fruit stand/ice cream stop. Not bad considering the passenger list. And, as a bonus, my niece didn't get carsick as she usually does when doing the same drive with her dad. I honestly believe it's his driving.

I also thought I would be more exhausted because I had only a few hours sleep. I am quite mellow at the moment. I am going to enjoy these 3 days.

And the title of this blog? Welllllll... We saw some at Manning Park, and took some pics and vids of them which will be added when I get home.

So here we are waiting for my kid's mom and half-bro to show up for swimming. The reason we came here waz for her to visit them. Now I am hungry. So that's all for now. More to follow...

Just when I thought....

Posted July 26 2009 08:31 PM   Mood: Angry

... things were OK. I give someone the benefit of the doubt and once again, I let myself get victimized. Giving up seems the only way to go and I hate being forced to quit.

I give someone the benefit of the doubt, and find I was right the first time. Next time I should just trust my gut and put up a wall to protect myself. Decency gets you nowhere. I've tried it and it doesn't work. So screw this shit.

My whole lifestyle, my belief system... everything that is me has been proven useless. My whole life a waste. Starting over and I'm not giving a shit.

Time for a new me. Hope you're ready.

What's with people...

Posted July 24 2009 01:46 PM   Mood: Disappointed   Listening to: angry hip hop

... and the games they play? Why not just be straight forward and say what's on your mind or what you think is going on? How difficult is it to be considerate for others?

These are questions I have asked practically all my life, and am still waiting for answers. Too many times life seems to be a cruel joke. Other times, when things look to be going right, something happens to show that it's all an illusion - a set up to continue this laugh riot.

What's left to do, but look for the bright light in the darkness. Luckily for me, I have one. And I would do - and have done - anything and everything I can for her. For others who are like me, they are not so lucky.

I've been stuck at this fork in the road for a long time. Seems like a good place to sit for now.

Maybe it's true... decent people get the worst of it all. Should I be me, or become someone I despise? Maybe there is no such thing as 100% true happiness. Maybe there are just different kinds of happiness - kinds of happiness that cannot exist in the presence of the other kinds.

All I can do is help my monkey find her happiness. That is a happy that I am satisfied with.

All for now... MC/LM

Posted July 16 2009 09:46 AM   Mood: Aggravated   Watching: the Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show

So last week, when taking my daughter to the museum, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a membership. I got a family membership for $70. Unbeknownst to me, there is a Couple membership for 2 people for $50. Had I known that, I could have saved $20 since it is just me and my daughter in my family. Go figure. Upon further research, I realized it would have been better had I just bought a Couple membership to the Space Centre for $55. I guess I could just eat up the loss and be happy. I've decided I am going to get a membership to the space centre anyway since it's a lot more fun and interesting and has much better benefits included. I guess I could use my membership a couple more times, bring my nieces or some of my daughter's friends and it'll be paid off.. but still.. grrrr

So I just came back from PetSmart. 1 large bag of kitten food. 1 large bag of kitty litter. 1 box of litter box liners. $120. $120. Damn. I hope this kitten appreciates this. I don't remember my other cat being this pricey. Not even my dog is this much! Maybe it's cuz the other too pee and poo outside. This kitten needs a life. Anyways. I my . I wish he'd stop trying to french me tho. It's just nasty. And I do not appreciate him sticking his bum in my face. That also qualifies as nasty. $40 for grains to poop in. Really.

What the?!?!?!

So I come home from work... 7:30am. See who is on... nothing odd... yet.

Click on "chat" and what do I see? EMPTY ROOMS! Weird huh? I know! 2 people in International Chat. However, in private rooms, there are quite a lot of people. 116 in Trina's room. Well done, Trina, whoever you are. A couple 31's, a 22, 16, 16.. etc. Anyways, what happened? Is there some sort of Wireclub public chat protest boycott standoff that I'm not aware of? I'm all for the occasional civic disobedience and all, so someone catch me up. PLEASE!

I'm Done!!

Posted April 9 2009 11:06 AM   Mood: Disappointed

Well, friends this is it. The final days of LuckyMonkey. It was fun while it lasted and I hope I can stay in touch with some of you. In the spirit of a fun and drama free chat, I'm leaving the bullshit behind to go bask in a free, wireclub-less existence. If anyone wants to keep in touch, Heartshaped Mouse and a couple other people have my m** ID.

I will be logging on up until Sunday to catch friends and talk to you presonally. Then after that, I will be no more.

Good times people... good times...

All you need is love, people!!

Posted March 25 2009 03:17 PM   Mood: Contemplative   Doing: nothing in particular

Respect given is respect received. Such a simple concept, yet such a difficult act. Imagine all the problems that could be avoided (past, present and future), if the people involved took a moment to think sympathetically about where the other person is coming from.

Profound, isn't it? Maybe, maybe not. I know my life would be a lot easier if certain people showed me some respect, especially when I had shown respect to them.

However, human nature is a reactive one... disrespect me and I will most likely disrespect you. But remember, people can lose respect, but can still be forgiven. They are not synonymous, nor are they co-dependent.

I guess this is a little venting on my part, but also an appeal to all those out there.. think about how you treat others. They will act as you act to them. It is not a chain, it is not a "pay it forward"... it's a simple way of life.

That's how I see it... more or less.
