Change your profile background!

If you go to edit profile there is a new option "customize" that lets you change your background. This is just the start of customizing profiles, but we wanted to get it out right away instead of sitting on it while we worked on the other stuff.

Happy monday day

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We never sleep here at wireclub so here is a ton of new stuff today. I can't even remember everything we did, but the "my profile" link is now a menu, so you can easily get to each section (so good....)

Also you can now filter the news on your homepage, so you can see just your friend requests or just your messages etc. I did that pretty much for myself since I get a bajillion messages/requests a day, hope other people find it useful too

There is some other stuff I am forgetting now, no time to think - back to work!

Lost blog entries

Hi everyone - we just had a little accident and lost all the blog entries that were posted today. So sorry about that, hopefully the introduction of blog comments makes things a little better!

Private Clubs

You can now make private clubs that only approved members can join. Club owners can
also kick people out of their clubs and you must be a member to post in the club forum.

If you want to make your existing club private just click edit (on the left) and change
membership to Private.

What else should we do with the clubs? Please post your comments!

Online friends

One of the most requested things on wireclub is to make it easier to find and interact with your friends. I just pushed out an update that should help with that - in the bottom right of you screen there is a little "Friends ^" tab that will bring up a list of your friends who are currently online.

The message popup is a big hit, but now the rest of the site feel very static and boring! So I couldn't help myself, I added friend requests and profile comment popups as well.

I want to thank everyone who sends in comments and suggestions, I write down everything people ask for so we don't forget about it. So if you have an idea of something you want send me a message!

Look, I'm posting on my blog again! Just a little update today, but I think it will make a big difference to how you use WireClub - When you receive a message you will get a little popup on the bottom of the screen - instantly. It looks just like the messages on your homepage news, and that is a clue that one day we hope to have all your notifications appear like this!
